Well, genre fans are waiting for this Halloween as the new supernatural horror Prey for the devil touches our screens. Directed by Daniel Stamm and written by Robert Zappia, in October we get something totally new with this brand new supernatural horror.

We all undoubtedly know exorcism movies, from classics like the exorcist to the conjure and Annabelle franchises. Yet we don’t always pay attention to the fact that in these films it seems that women are typically victims of demonic possession, while the rescuers are played by men. However, Prey for the devil October brings us something else, where not only the protagonist is a woman, but also someone who performs the exorcism and breaking of long-standing rules. Pray for the devil essentially spins those gender roles on their heads and will hopefully explore more of the female priest’s life.
