Devil’s Workshop brings the psychological horror
“I’ve always been drawn to anything that feels realistic,” Devil’s workshop writer-director Chris von Hoffmann said last year about the projects he likes to take on, via Rue Morgue. “I have great respect for the supernatural” [horror] and I think there are some very scary supernatural movies. I think in general. that when you dig deep into something psychological and very real, people react to it – like The social dilemma, which was the scariest movie I saw last year. I just like realistic things. People in general are just really scary.”
He also seemed to tease with what he had in store Devil’s workshopwhich hadn’t been officially announced yet, adding, “There’s a feature that we’re deep, deep into right now and we hope to film in the fall, which would be aesthetically perfect. It’s kind of a play on film — kind of from two-handed to three-quarters of it Tonally it’s a bit like angel heart with a little more dark humor in it. It’s kind of an erotic, psychological horror movie.”
