Rahul Dev was asked to share his thoughts on whether Gaslight should have been released in theaters or whether OTT is the perfect platform for this film. To this he replied: “In fact, OTT is a fantastic platform for this film. In every thriller there is a sound and an image. The cinema is all about sound and image, either there is a picture you are watching or it will move you with the sound. So in that sense, in theater, the sound and the image are always bigger. If there is a larger than life movie, the picture is big, but the phone cuts off the picture because the screen is short. And of course sounds in theaters have impact because it’s Dolby. But Gaslight is a murder mystery where intrigue is very important and to understand the essence of intrigue, concentration is necessary. In theaters people can get distracted, but on the phone, if you like something, you look closely at it.
