Rajinikanth, who recently celebrated Diwali with daughter Aishwarya, has an interesting surprise for his fans. This festive season it has been announced that the actor will continue his partnership with Lyca Productions as the megastar has signed two films with the said production house. It is even said that one of the films will be directed by his other daughter Soundarya.

Soundarya Rajinikanth, who gave birth to her second son a few months ago, is all set to return to filmmaking with one of these Lyca Production films. On the other hand, speaking of the other movie, this one will be directed by Cibi Chakravarthy. While the details of these upcoming projects are yet to be revealed, the films are currently being referred to as Thalaivar 170 and Thalaivar 171. Interestingly, this Rajinikanth collaboration with Lyca Productions is expected to be their third and fourth project together. The production house announced this good news on social media and shared a photo of the team together with the megastar on their official Instagram page.

In the said photo are Head of Lyca Productions Tamilkumaran, Chairman of Lyca Subaskaran and Vice Chairman Premsivasamy. The announcement was made on social media and it is also said that the pooja for these two movies will be held in Chennai on November 5.
As for the other projects, Rajinikanth is currently directing Nelson Dilipkumar Prison Guard which also features Shiva Rajkumar. On the other hand, Lyca Productions also has some interesting movies in hand, including: Ponniyin Selvan 2 which will be out in the second half of 2023, Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh starrer Indian 2 among others.
