After successful associations in the past with shows like Woh Apna Sa, Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal, Mrs. Kausik Ki Paanch Bahuein, Zee TV and Rashmi Sharma Telefilms reunite to bring viewers a new offering of fiction – Sanjog, an adult family drama about the intricacies of the relationships between two mothers, Amrita and Gauri, who, despite being coming from very different worlds, have one thing in common: the fact that they are not standing with their respective daughters and often wondering how and why! And now Rajniesh Duggal will be seen in a pivotal role on the show.

While popular actresses Kamya Punjabi and Shefali Sharma will play the roles of Gauri and Amrita respectively, the talented actor Rajniesh Duggal will play the character Rajeev Kothari (Amrita’s husband). The popular star, who has done several mythological shows in the past, makes his daily soap opera with Sanjog, where he plays the role of a sophisticated businessman who, with the help of his wife, has successfully expanded his jewelry business. Rajeev and Amrita were college lovebirds who married shortly after. Rajeev, a family man, was always madly in love with Amrita and her talent. However, his character is expected to be full of surprises that will reveal as the story unfolds.
Rajniesh Duggal said of his character: “I am very excited because after two years I will be seen on television, also in a completely new avatar. The audience has only seen me in mythological or historical shows so far. Sanjog, however, is my first daily soap! I get kicked out about playing the part of Rajeev who is an ideal husband in addition to being an admirable son. In fact I like my character a lot, but the best thing about my character is how he trusts his wife with making the business decision. He admires Amrita for her art and I am sure the audience will fall in love with him. As it is my first family drama show, I am very curious about the reaction of the audience and I am sure that my character will help me grow and push my boundaries as an artist, I will certainly do my best and I hope the audience loves my character as well as the show.” Sanjog, is broadcast on Zee TV.
