On September 21, comedian Raju Srivastava died at the age of 58, six weeks after being admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. During his hospitalization, Amitabh Bachchan had sent a voice recording to Raju’s family in an attempt to wake him from a coma. And now the late comedian’s family has once again thanked the megastar for remembering Raju Srivastava at 14 Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 14) through a question.
Raju Srivastava’s family expressed their gratitude to Amitabh Bachchan and shared a few screenshots from Big B’s quiz show where the megastar had asked a question about the comedian.
“How can we get to know comedian Satya Prakash Srivastava, who passed away in September 2022?” read the question. The options were: A. Bhanu Srivastava, B. Rahul Srivastava, C. Raju Srivastava and D. Atul Srivastava.
The family wrote a heartfelt note to Big B on Raju Srivastava’s official Instagram account saying, “We are sincerely grateful to you Shri @amitabhbachchan uncle for expressing your love and blessings to father #rajusrivastava by remembering him through a question on your famous show KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati) last week. This is the fourth time a question has been asked about him on the show. (folded hands emoji) Special thanks to @sonytvofficial.”
Earlier, Raju Srivastava’s daughter, Antara, had written a heartbreaking note to Big B thanking him for being with her family during the difficult times. She had added that her father saved the number of the movie icon as ‘guruji’. She had also told how Raju had moved his fingers when he had to listen to his audio clip, which showed what Amitabh meant to the comedian.
Raju was rushed to hospital on August 10 and put on a ventilator after he complained of chest pains and collapsed while exercising at the gym.
