Satya (Ram Pothineni) is a doctor by profession and is stationed in Kurnool. One day at work, many children die in the hospital after a shortage of resources in the hospital. The reason behind this accident is Guru (Adi Pinisetty), the most wanted goon and criminal in town. When Satya raises his voice against Guru, the latter revolts and beats the former to hell. 2 years later, Satya makes a comeback as a cop to take revenge on Guru and end the crime in Kurnool City. What’s hot?

Ram’s previous film Red was a box office disaster and being a commercial entertainer, the actor has high hopes for it. It’s good to see that he did his best for the film. He has nailed his acting as a cop and looks dashing in the uniform. Ram Pothineni is known as a hero of “mass” performances and again lived up to the name and expectations of the audience. Adi Pinisetty is one of the most affordable actors in the south and he is also popular as a villain. While he played a classy villain in Sarrainodu, he plays a cult villain in The Warrior and he is a visual delight. The producers left no stone unturned when it comes to the production quality of the film. It is rich in quality and the camera work is an asset to the film. Thanks to DOP Sujith. The music of Devi Sri Prasad took the film to another level.

What not?

The movie is entertaining in bits and pieces. Krithi Shetty doesn’t have much to do in the movie when it comes to her character. The love track between the hero and the heroine is fine to watch. Linguswamy should have worked a little more on the script. There is definitely some delay here and there.

BL verdict

Overall, The Warrior is a one-time watch if you’re looking for a commercial entertainer this weekend. I’m going for 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Rating : 2.5 off 5
