While Randall Park will soon star in the new comedy series box office success at Netflix, he’s holding the door open for Jimmy Woo to get his own show on Disney+. In 2021, Park and Kat Dennings returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by appearing as Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis in the hit series WandaVision. At the time, many fans who enjoyed their chemistry called for the two to get their own spin-off show along the lines of The X files with Jimmy and Darcy investigating bizarre mysteries in the MCU.
In a new interview with ComicBook.com, Park spoke of his involvement with the MCU. The idea that he could play with Dennings in a… WandaVision spin-off was brought up, and Park commented on how he remembers when that pitch kicked off on social media. As to whether he would still be on board going that route, Park had this to say:
“I want.”
Darcy Lewis appeared in Thor: Love and Thunder and it has been revealed that Park will also return as Jimmy Woo in the upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Possibly Park getting his own spin-off series could still happen, but if so, don’t expect him to reveal the surprise. This is what the actor, who is also part of the DCEU, with his role in Aquariushad to say which cinematic universe made him more concerned about accidentally revealing spoilers.
“Oh god, you know, I’m not afraid of either one, because I’m so good. I’m so good, and, uh, you know, I love being part of both universes, so I’m not going to let something slip. So you can try me. Nothing will slip.”
Randall Park is featured in Blockbuster
For now, Park fans can see him as one of the stars of the new comedy series box office success. Coming soon to Netflix, the series features Park at work at the only Blockbuster video store still in operation in the United States. The series is sure to bring nostalgic vibes to anyone who, in the years before Netflix and other streaming services took over, missed searching for the right movie to rent from Blockbuster stores.
box office success will begin streaming on Netflix on November 3, 2022. You can also see Park on the big screen by watching the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania when it hits theaters on February 17, 2023.
