Reacher season 2 cast revealed as filming set underway

“The Reacher” is about to get some new friends – and some new enemies.

Amazon Prime Video, Skydance Television and Paramount Television Studios today announced the lead cast that will join Mountain-of-a-Man Alan Richson in the title role of the popular series. Show regulars Serinda Swan, Ferdinand Kingsley, Rory Cochrane along with guest star Dominic Lombardozzi. Also in the cast are Luke Bilyk, Dean McKenzie, Edson Morales, Andres Kolantes, Shannon Kook-Chun, Ty Victor Olsson, Josh Blacker and Al Sapienza. They will be joined by Richson and Maria Stein, who will return for Season 2 as Frances Neagle, and Sean Sipos, who will play David O’Donnell.

Something unique about “Reacher” is that, like the books it follows, the only real holdover character from one season to the next is Jack Reacher himself. Every book sees him roaming a new city, a new mystery for him to solve and a conspiracy to unravel. The show’s second season will follow “Bad Luck and Trouble”, one of Lee Child’s best-loved novels (it is the 11th book in the series), which sees Reacher in Los Angeles as members of his old battalion get one-on-one. is chosen one by one by invisible forces.

Production begins later this month, hopefully in L.A. As cliché, the city is actually a character in the book (though sadly Denny is where most of the secret meetings take place).

Swann has been cast as Carla Dixon. Along with O’Donnell, Dixon worked with Reacher in the Army’s Special Investigators Unit; Kingsley is cast as AM, a former NYPD detective; Cochrane has been cast as Shane Langston, a former NYPD detective.

“Reacher” was renewed for a second season three days after its debut on Prime Video and is one of Prime Video’s top five most-watched series in the US and globally.
