Sajid Khan controversy escalates; DCW chief Swati Maliwal claims getting r*pe threats for demanding ouster of the MeToo accused

The presence of Sajid Khan on Bigg Boss 16 turns out to be the biggest controversy of the season. Now the Delhi Commission for Women chairman Swati Maliwal has claimed that she has been threatened with rape since she made an official complaint about Sajid Khan’s presence on the show. She also took to Twitter where she wrote that after writing a letter to the I&B ministry, she received rape threats on Twitter. She said someone wants to stop the process. She said she wants the Delhi Police to file an FIR and are now investigating the matter. Sajid Khan’s presence has failed to impress netizens. Sona Mohapatra was one of the first to express her anger, saying this is unfair to the alleged victims of his sexual harassment. Later on, actresses like Mandana Karimi spoke out against this decision to have Sajid Khan in a TV show. Swati Maliwal has written to the I&B ministry that it is inappropriate to feature a “sexual predator” in a primetime show. In her letter, she wrote: “The allegations against Sajid Khan are extremely serious in nature and must be investigated at the earliest. She said his presence is humiliating to the women who risked much to speak out against his inappropriate sexual advances. She said he was in a position of power and authority when he preyed on them. The trade association FWICE has said that Sajid Khan has been out of the limelight for a long time and has the right to earn a living. They said if people have a problem they should file a lawsuit.
