Known for playing some of the best roles in Malayalam cinema, Prithviraj Sukumaran will be featured in a unique avatar in the Prashanth Neel movie Salary. The director of the KGF will baahubali actor and it will also include Malayalam actor-filmmaker. We got a glimpse of his appearance from this Shruti Haasan starrer on his birthday a few days ago. Now, in a recent interview, the Mollywood actor revealed why he decided to choose the film and his character Vardharaja Mannar.

In an interview with Variety magazine, Prithviraj Sukumaran opened up about the reason behind his choice: Salary. “There are several reasons why Salary it would be a no-brainer for anyone to say yes – it’s a Prashanth Neel movie, a Hombale Films production and it’s Prabhas’s movie. It is Prabhas’ return to mainstream mass commercial cinema after a while. His post-Saaho movies are somewhat removed from the mass action genre,” the star said.
While he didn’t reveal any details about the film, he did reveal how the story revolves around him and Prabhas’ character. “The core of the story is very much between Prabhas’s character and mine. I consider it a privilege that someone like Prashanth Neel posts KGF Chapter 2 thought it was worth waiting for me to join the movie. And I’m glad I made that decision to finally say yes to it, because after shooting for a few days, I think it might just be one of those epic cinematic experiences. So I’m really looking forward to it Salary as much as an actor, as I am as a movie buff,” he added.
Speaking of the movie, Shruti Haasan will be starring and she will be sharing screen space with the baahubali star for the first time. It also stars popular Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu and is slated to release on September 28, 2023.
