It seems that it’s not just TV shows, but even sequels are making huge strides in moving the story forward. The film in question is the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film was written by SS Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad. The huge hit has been released for seven years today and while it still remains in our hearts, the makers are hard at work on the next film in the franchise, Pavan Putra Bhaijaan, which is a continuation of the 2015 film.

According to Pinkvilla reports, KV Vijayendra Prasad has revealed that the film is not only a continuation but will also feature an 8 to 10 year jump. While we’re not sure how the story will unfold and who will star in the film, we do know that our beloved Bhai Salman Khan will return in his action-packed avatar for this film. “Yes, the story jumps from 8 to 10 years in Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. I am hopeful that the sequel will not be less than the first part,” said the writer.
This is not the first time we have information about the sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Last December, around Salman Khan’s birthday, the superstar had also spoken about this film, saying: “KV Vijayendra Prasad wrote the script of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2016) and now he is also writing the sequel and has named it Pavan Putra Bhaijaan. Once he’s done, and I’m done shooting my other movies, I’ll start shooting for it.”
While we’re still not sure when the sequel will hit the floors, Salman Khan continues to have a packed schedule. The actor is currently shooting for Bhaijaan (Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali) with Pooja Hegde and others. In addition, he also has Tiger 3 in the pipeline along with Anees Bazmee’s ambitious No access 2.
