Sam and Jay Prep for new BNB guests

Woodstone Manor’s shenanigans are only getting quieter now that the bed and breakfast is open for business.

A trailer released Friday gives us another look at what we can expect from “Ghosts” Season 2, which debuts at the end of the month. The sophomore season of the CBS comedy promises more chaos as our favorite spirits question why they even need to welcome any new guests in the first place.

“To make money, so we can eat,” Rose tells MacIver’s Samantha Ghosts, to which Revolutionary War soldier Isaac of Brandon Scott Jones quips: “Oh, one can consume food. Must be good “

Previous teasers for Season 2 hinted that Jai (Utkarsh Ambudkar) might be able to see ghosts at the end, too, after falling from the floor in the basement at the end of the first season. Friday’s trailer continues with that speculation, expanding on a scene where Jay walks down the stairs and says “oh my god” to everyone he sees.

We got a detailed look at that shot in this new trailer, which shows Richie Moriarty’s Pete standing opposite Jay in the foyer. While it looks like Jay can see Pete, we’re not so easily convinced. It would certainly be a fun addition for Jay to see what the Ghosts are up to, but we wouldn’t put it before the series to trick him into being a few more frames beyond — which is exactly what. Jay is watching.

Only time will tell what exactly happens this season. In conversation with TheWrap, showrunner Joe Wiseman teased that Season 2 will be “more than the same,” but in a good way.

“I think the show will basically be what it was, but we’ll continue to dig deeper and learn more about these characters,” he said.

“Ghosts” Season 2 premieres September 29 on CBS. You can watch the new trailer above.
