Ghostface, who always likes to ask people if they want to play a game, could be quite happy about this news. Per ScreenRanthas been revealed that an official tie-in table game for scream will be released soon by Funko Games. Allowing players to try and survive their own lives scream The movie takes place and the story of the game is about Ghostface returning to Woodsboro to hunt down potential victims. Players must work together if they want to survive the killing spree. Games are described as “fast-paced” and are about 20 minutes each.

That includes scream and scene cards with unique art, a location board, and a knife marker with its own base. The game also includes a free mobile app to further enhance the fun, and it features exclusive voiceover work from the actual voice of Ghostface himself, Roger Jackson.
This would be the first scream game of its kind. Ghostface has appeared in the video game world. That includes him being featured as a playable killer in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead in daylight. There was also one Scream 4 mobile game released in 2011.
Scream gets the tabletop game treatment
The scream franchise also seems bigger than ever. From director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson, the film series began in 1996 with the original film. The whodunit plot and unique way of emphasizing the horror genre’s “rules” resonated with fans and instantly changed scream to the next big franchise. Craven would direct the next three episodes of the series, culminating Scream 4 in 2011. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett would later revive the series with scream in 2022, which was followed up, Scream VIearlier this year.
Scream VI was the series’ first installment to surpass $100 million at the domestic box office. That success probably means the story will continue in Scream VII, even if the sequel hasn’t been officially announced yet. Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett have expressed hope that the franchise will continue, even if they are not directly involved.
“We want to watch scream movies, whether we are involved in them or not, for the rest of our lives,” as Bettinelli-Olpin put it.
Shout the game does not yet have an official release date, but is expected to be in mid-2023.
