Seth Meyers delighted in revelation that Trump complained about the smell of Giuliani’s bathroom

Seth Meyers couldn’t contain his glee or his joke Wednesday night after it was revealed in Maggie Haberman’s upcoming book that Trump once “complained loudly” about the “smell” that Rudy Giuliani Took her out of the bathroom. In fact, the late night host devoted most of his “A Closer Look” segment to it.

According to Haberman’s book, while the two-time impeached former president was on board one of his planes with Giuliani, Trump “complained loudly” about the smell after Giuliani used one of the plane’s bathrooms. Made it a point to, “so that other collaborators can listen.” Per Haberman’s reporting, Trump shouted “Rudy! This is disgusting!”

Meyers joked that this particular revelation of Haberman’s book was “a story of immense importance to the future of our nation” and “one of those shocking stories you could certainly have predicted.” But as goofy as it was, Meyers wasn’t going to miss his opportunity.

“So I’m not surprised that Rudy smells bad, but I do” am I’m surprised it’s so bad trump Complained about it,” Meyers said. “I mean, all Trump consumes is Big Macs and Diet Coke. He probably has a bowel movement once a week that looks like a ‘Jurassic Park’ scene. And of course, when he’s at the most important job in the world.” Trump was busy with this even when he was running for it.

That said, Meyers was surprised that this development was coming straight from a tell-all book, rather than Giuliani. Meyers joked that Giuliani confessed so much on television — including the time he openly admitted that he asked Ukraine to see Joe Biden — that it definitely should have come out.

Of course, this story provided some clarity, at least for Meyers, as to why Trump was always talking about asking people to flush their toilets “10 times, 15 times.”

“Now, in the past when I’ve heard this, my reaction has been: Even for Donald Trump, it sounds like a lot of flushes. But now I know, there was a second pooper! ” Meyers said. “Also, I want to emphasize that according to the book, this happened in 2016. And Rudy still went to work for Trump for six more years. I don’t know about you guys, but If my boss complained loudly about how bad the bathroom smelled after I used it so that everyone could hear, my answer would be ‘I’m ready to go’ to jail for this guy.’ “
