In June 2022, Red Chillies Entertainment announced: jawan, a massive action entertainer, starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by director Atlee Kumar. The actor had also shared the film’s first teaser and poster, which caused quite a stir among fans. SRK has been stationed in Chennai for a while to complete major shooting of jawan. He shot along with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara for a month before returning to Mumbai on Sunday. Now that he had finished the program, the actor entertained his fans in Chennai and invited them to dinner.

The actor has a devoted big fan and one of them is Sudhir Kothari who runs a fan club on Twitter with the handle @SRKCHENNAIFC which has nearly 150,000 followers. Kothari, who has met SRK several times, has asked the acting team if there would be an opportunity to organize a meet and greet with some fan club members and SRK. “I reached out to Pooja Dadlani madam and Karuna (Badwal) madam who manage mister. They spoke to the gentleman, who said he would like to meet us as soon as he finishes shooting,” he told News18.

He added: “After a few days, I got a call that Mr. would meet us on October 8, the day he announced the Chennai schedule of jawan. Although we are a big family, it was difficult to select the 20 people who would meet Shah Rukh Khan. The decision was made based on how active they have been over the years. We do a lot of charity, fan shows and other philanthropic work on behalf of SRK and based on this we decided to make the selection.”

The report further stated: “Before the meeting, Mr. had called us to a five-star hotel on the outskirts of Chennai. We were asked to arrive around 5:30 PM. He had booked two rooms for us and also took care of all our requirements. A manager and two butlers were assigned to us and we were able to order anything from the menu. Ravi (Singh, Shah Rukh Khan’s bodyguard) sir along with Pooja madam and Karuna madam took good care of us.”
Red Chili’s Entertainment presents jawanstarring Shah Rukh Khan and produced by Gauri Khan. jawan will be released in five languages on June 2, 2023, making it Shah Rukh Khan’s first Pan India film. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra.
