Fans of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin are delighted to see actor Siddharth Bodke aka Jagtap in Drishyam 2. He plays the role of David Braganza, who plays a very pivotal role in the story. Speaking to Bollywood Life, Siddharth Bodke said: “So a year ago after the pandemic I got a call from Vicky Sidana’s casting agency. I went there and auditioned for some roles. I first auditioned for the role of the shadow agent, but later they said I should audition for another role. Later they said you are better in that role, which happens to be more interesting. That’s how I got the role in Drishyam 2, by auditioning.”
Siddharth Bodke said this is special because this is his Bollywood debut. It is his first Hindi movie. Moreover, it is Drishyam with his own legacy and goodwill. “My excitement is double. Honestly, I didn’t see the original Drishyam when it came out in 2015,” he tells us. He says that his friend, who was a huge fan of the film, let him watch the film a month before he auditioned for Drishyam 2. He says the friend was a huge fan and had seen the movie 10 times.
Siddharth Bodke has some key scenes with Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna and Tabu in the film. He says he was not nervous, but extremely excited. He told us, “Tabu Ma’am, Akshaye Khanna or Ajay Devgn are legends in their field. I was thrilled to do scenes with them. The reason they are legends is because of how they look at their craft. she’s working in a scene, you’ll see they’re very collaborative. When they’re performing, they’re very collaborative.”
Siddharth Bodke said he would watch their close-ups to see how great they were. “I feel very happy. I am also overwhelmed with the love shown by the Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin fandom. They tag me and say they are going to watch me in Drishyam 2,” he says.
