Post the release of the Vishnuvardhan director Shershaah, main couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani made headlines for their chemistry both on screen and off. Since the audience really liked the film, filmmakers even came up with the idea of signing up the two for new ventures. One such venture was the quirky film tentatively titled Adal Badal, which revolved around the concept of soul transference. In fact, both Sid and Kiara had read the concept note and were quite excited to start the project. However, now we hear that the said movie has run into trouble.

According to a source close to the developments, Bollywood Hungama has been informed exclusively that the project is now on the back burner. The source revealed details, telling Bollywood Hungama: “Yes, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were very eager to make the film. Adal Badal’s quirky premise intrigued them both, and they even gave the creators the green light to continue developing the film.” a script for the venture. Unfortunately, even before the venture could get off the ground, it appears there were no buyers for the film.” Talking more about why Adal Badal has been put on the back burner for now, the source continues: “Nobody in the industry is ready to fund the venture. It’s not because of the main pair, but instead because of the rather unconventional storyline. Despite its quirkiness and novelty, in the current state the industry is in, no one wants to take a gamble and risk huge amounts on an untested formula.”
Since there are no investors willing to take a gamble on producing the venture, it appears that the venture will eventually be shut down. Interestingly, though, for fans eager to see the two back together on screen, the buzz is that Sid and Kiara will soon be moving over to the Dharma Productions venture which will place them at the top of the cast. In fact, reports claim that the two are considering starting this unnamed venture quite soon.
As for Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, both actors have an impressive lineup ahead of them. While Sidharth has Yodha and Mission Majnu, Kiara has Govinda Name Mera, RC15, and the Kartik Aaryan starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha.
