‘Some of it is in your hands’ (VIDEO)

As Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul is in the hospital recovering from the attack at their home on Friday, “The View” host Whoopi Goldberg is putting some of the blame on Fox News for the incident. On Tuesday’s episode of the morning talk show, she called them straight out.

The attack led to the day’s Hot Topics discussion, with hosts mourning the escalation in political violence, as well as venting their anger over it. Presenting the discussion to his co-hosts, Golberg wondered what “more needs to be done” for Republican politicians to condemn the actions of the extreme right.

But ultimately, Goldberg offered his views on who to blame, at least partially, for the attack on the Pelosi family.

“Fox News, some of it is in your hands,” she said. “Some of it’s in your hands. You know, you like to call people out, well, I’m calling you all out. Stop with ‘That side isn’t good’ because that’s what it is.” Puts it there. It tells people you think it’s okay to do this. Stop doing it.”

Fox News did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Hosts Joy Behar and Sonny Hostin offered Goldberg a supportive “yes” in that spirit, but did not elaborate as the show broke up. Meanwhile, Conservative host Alyssa Farah Griffin called on fellow party members not to condemn the violence that has continued since January 6.

Farah Griffin said, “What is increasing is political violence and I want to be very clear that political violence – left, right, center – is wrong.” “Shame on you for those in my party who are not calling it outright. This is an 82-year-old man – he has been accused of misbehaving with elders for what he did.”

Farrah Griffin also revealed that she was working with the Freedom Caucus when several Republican lawmakers were attacked at baseball practice, including Congressman Steve Scalise, and that the Democrat’s reaction was the opposite of Republicans today.

Farah Griffin said, “The difference is that every Democrat condemned it and they were in favor of his recovery.” “What is happening, we should be ashamed. Just the fact that we can’t explicitly say wrongdoing. It is, I fear, it will get worse before it gets better. I pray this is wrong.”
