Sonali Phogat’s death comes as a huge shock to the industry association. Goa police said on Saturday that ‘Methamphetamine’ drugs given to Sonali were recovered in the laundry room of Curlies restaurant in Anjuna-Goa. Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi said investigations revealed the drugs were supplied by Dattaprasad Gaonkar, who worked as a roomboy at Hotel Grand Leoney Resort in Anjuna, where the suspects and the deceased were staying. Sonali had come to Goa on August 22 and was staying in a hotel in Anjuna. Previously, CCTV footage showed Sonali struggling to keep her balance and was seen holding her accused as she stumbled into the pub. As the mystery behind Sonali’s death begins to unfold, her fellow Bigg Boss contestants Rahul Vaidya, Aly Goni and more have sought justice and want her killers to be punished. “We all thought it was a natural death, but all these things that are unfolding clearly predict that it is a murder. All these images give me chills, I am numb and I feel very strangely helpless. They was killed outright, with (someone) putting some substance in her food or drink. I hope those responsible are severely punished,” Rahul told Hindustan Times.

Aly Goni said the CCTV footage was quite disturbing to watch and made sure that Sonali did not die of natural causes. “You are even struck by reading the news of a stranger’s death, when Sonali was someone I shared a house with. She must get justice and the killer must be punished. It must be investigated as a matter of priority,” he said. .

Devoleena Bhattacharjee felt sorry for Sonali and said the government and authorities should bring justice to the deceased and her relatives. Arshi Khan recalled how Sonali spoiled her like a mother when she went to photo shoots and kept her under control. She is afraid to watch the CCTV video and prayed to God that Sonali get justice.

A court in Goa on Saturday issued a 10-day police detention to Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh. Police have registered criminal offenses under Sections 22(b), 29 and 25 of the NDPS Act against Curlies restaurant owner Edwin Nunes and Dattaprasad Gaonkar, both have been arrested.

Police Inspector General Omvir Singh Bishnoi had said that Sangwan has confessed to the crime and stated that after reaching Goa, he took Phogat to Curlies together with Singh under the guise of partying and mixed an “unpleasant” substance into drinking water. and forced the victim to drink it.
