Squid Game star Lee Jung Jae joins Star Wars series The Acolyte set in Disney+
According to the term, the acolyte is a mystery thriller that takes viewers to a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging Dark Side forces in the final days of the High Republic era, Disney+ said when announcing the project in December 2020. Set in the real-life Star Wars universe , “acolyte” can refer to individuals with Force abilities learning from a more experienced Sith Lord.
Details about the show are being kept secret. Leslye Headland is show running, writing and directing. Lee’s addition to the acolyte Series Marks Lee Jung Jae’s First Major Role Post squid game, the hit Netflix drama that made him a global star. Next Monday, Lee along with squid game co-star Jung Ho Yeon will attend the Emmys next week as presenters.
According to the report, after signing with CAA in February, Lee Jung Jae wanted to put the finishing touches on his directorial debut. Hunt, in which he also plays the lead role, for the premiere of the Cannes Film Festival. That film was recently acquired by Magnolia Pictures.
