TVF is a brand that has long been handing out homely, laid-back, lifelike web series long before the term web series even became popular on other bigger Indian OTT platforms. After being integrated with said OTT platforms, their shows have indeed gained a wider audience, but the ethos of their content remains the same. One of their major shows that put them on the map is: tripling. So, with Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo, Amol Parashar returning for tripling 3, the same taste is preserved and something fresh is added. Well, the answer to both questions is affirmative. Here’s my full tripling 3 web series review

What is it about

In Season 3 of Triplelings, Chandan (Sumeet Vyas), Chanchal (Maanvi Gagroo), and Chitvan (Amol Parashar) parents (Kumud Mishra and Shernaz Patel) go on a quest for a divorce, leaving the siblings’ world in chaos, after which they take their parents on a road trip in a last ditch effort to keep them from breaking up.

what’s hot

The jokes and jokes, all mostly hit the mark. The exploration of family dynamics makes up for the fun when it needs to, especially when the dysfunctional becomes emotional. Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo, Amol Parashar, Kumud Mishra and Shernaz Patel’s performances are all for the money. The production values are better than the previous seasons, and especially the writing of Sumeet Vyas and Arunabh Kumar ensures that neither the audience nor those involved with the show lose sight of why the show became so loved in the first place , while also guaranteeing long-time fans something new to look forward to.

What not

While it’s always welcome to wrap things up in 5 episodes, any show is always welcome, but this by rushing things to the end, when an extra episode could have been easy, was easy to avoid. Plus, the focus on the whole family over the sibling bond that shaped the Triplings ethos could prove something that annoys diehard fans a bit.

BL verdict

Mino hitches aside, Tripling’s season 3 gets most things right and continues the endearing misadventures of the trio of siblings we’ve all come to love. I’m going for 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Rating : 3.5 off 5
