‘Sweet Tooth’ Season 2 Trailer Netflix Fantasy Drama Deadline

Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 2 of the Emmy-winning fantasy drama sweet tooth.

Warned that “no one will be safe,” Gus (Christian Convery) vows to fight the Last Men who are holding him captive to find a cure for the sick.

Based on the DC comic book series by Jeff Lemire, sweet tooth follows the adventures of part stag, part boy Gus (Christian Convery) as he leaves his home in the woods to find the outside world devastated by a cataclysmic event. In search of answers about this new world and the mystery behind his hybrid origins, he joins a motley family of humans and animal-child hybrids like himself.

In Season 2, Gus (Convery) and a band of other hybrids are being held captive by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men as a deadly new wave of Sick descends upon us. To consolidate his power by finding a cure, Abbot uses the children as fodder for the captive Dr. Aditya Singh (Adeel Akhtar), who wants to save his infected wife Rani (Aliza Vellani). To protect his friends, Gus agrees to teach Dr. Singh begins a dark journey into his origins and his mother Birdie’s (Amy Seimetz) role in the events leading up to The Great Crumble.

Outside the Preserve, Tommy Jepperd (Nonso Anozie) and Aimee Eden (Dania Ramirez) team up to free the hybrids, a partnership that will be tested when Jepperd’s secrets are exposed. When the revelations of the past threaten the possibility of redemption in the present, Gus and his found family find themselves on a collision course with Abbot and the forces of evil attempting to wipe them out once and for all.

The cast also includes Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear, Naledi Murray as Wendy, Marlon Williams as Johnny Abbot, Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. as Teddy and Yonas Kibreab as Finn; with James Brolin as narrator.
