Varisu is also a family drama with action. Thalapathy Vijay and Vamshi Paidipally have come up with a family drama that will work well with the Hindi TV audience (you will know when you watch the film) and the fans of Sooraj Barjatya, who is known for his family films. Will it suit everyone? Entertainment news is hot with Varisu. Even if you are a fan of South Indian movies and in doubt whether you should watch it or now, read our review to know…

What is it about?

Varisu revolves around a family named Rajendran. It has a patriarch who runs a successful business empire in the country. As a businessman, he runs his family the same way. He lives with his two sons who, like him, are business-minded, but also selfish. He also has a younger son who was kicked out of the family for not following his example. However, when there is a threat to the patriarch of the family, things change for the whole clan.

What’s hot?

Thalapathy Vijay of course. The mother son relationship of Thalapathy Vijay and Jayasudha will touch your heart. Thalapathy Vijay’s character Vijay adds the perfect dose of action and entertainment, including comic relief. R Sarathkumar is good as the father and so are the sons, Shaam and Srikanth. Prakash Raj is also good. Yogi Babu also adds comic relief. The images are soothing to the eyes.

What not?

The length of the movie. You might think it takes too long and drags on endlessly. The pace is also too slow, especially in the first half. The songs are good, but add nothing to the story. They are pure dance numbers. The story seems a bit far-fetched due to the lack of a real villain. If you are going to watch the movie for romance between Rashmika Mandanna and Thalapathy Vijay, don’t hold your breath too high.

BL verdict:

If you are a big fan of family drama movies, this one is for you. If you don’t mind watching a family drama for three hours, this movie is for you. For me the drama dragged on a bit too much hence 2 and a half stars.
