Ankit Bathla on how TV stars are treated differently
In an interview with Etimes, Ankit Bathla has stated that he has left the meetings because of the treatment he received as a TV actor. He said people actually said ‘Arey yeh toh TV actor hai’. Ankit described how TV actors work harder than anyone else and deserve all the fame. He said they are trained differently and that they don’t get as much time as Bollywood stars to prepare for a role. He was quoted as saying: “It’s the fact that TV actors get to hear these statements that you’re too exposed to TV shows and we can’t cast you. I remember when I went to movie gatherings I literally heard say “Aarre ye toh television actor hai”. We are treated differently. I literally walked out of a meeting and said that television actors work much harder than anyone else. We are trained differently and work under stressful conditions, unlike movies.
