The Batman Director Plans More Spin-Offs on Scarecrow, Clayface & More

There may be a lot more to come from the world of the batter. past to THR, a new report has just been released detailing some of the things going on behind the scenes at Warner Bros. Discovery happen regarding upcoming comic book adaptations. On the Batman front, it was reported that the batter helmer Matt Reeves has been quietly working on new plans to expand the Batverse that he started with the Robert Pattinson movie.


Reportedly, Reeves has met several writers and directors with plans to develop more movie spin-offs related to the batter. While these projects are still in their early stages and plans could change, these films are planned to focus on super villains in Batman’s Rogues Gallery, with names mentioned in the report, including Scarecrow, Clayface, and Professor Pyg. As progress is made on some of all of these projects, these characters could potentially be introduced in the upcoming sequel to the batter.

The Batman 2 is currently in the works from Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin. Warner Bros. Pictures Group Co-Chairs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy previously spoke of the company’s confidence in Reeves, which would lend credence to these new rumors from other companies. Batman-based projects to get the green light with his involvement.

“Someone like Matt, we buy him whatever he wants,” said De Luca via Deadline. “We’re making an investment for everything Matt has an attraction to, in the Batman universe or else. He has an open invitation to go where his interests take him. We lean on everything Matt wants to do. In terms of the writers/directors working in this very lofty genre space, with everything Matt has done from Let me in to the Apes trilogy to the batterhe is alone in class.”

Colin Farrell’s Penguin Is Getting Its Own Spin-Off Series

What we know for sure is that the penguin we met in the batter will be the first of the Dark Knight’s enemies to get a spin-off. It will be in the form of a TV series on HBO Max. Recently Farrell spoke with Additional TV about how excited he was to get started. I mean, he’s not going to direct it, but he knows the structure of the scripts and who’s going to direct them. And so it’s exciting.”

the penguin arrives on HBO Max in 2023. As regards The Batman 2the sequel has no official release date yet.
