The Boys get a new Sitcom-style intro from Prime Video

Prime Video has reimagined The Boys as a sitcom with a new video intro to the violent superhero series.

What if The boys was a family-friendly sitcom and not the blood-soaked, swear-filled violent romp it’s known for? We can only imagine, and Prime Video comes up with the idea by sharing a fun video on social media. The video features a new intro for The boys, presented as a sitcom that would fit right in with classic sitcoms from decades ago. To be The boys like you’ve never seen it before, and you can watch the clip below.

The video conveniently omits the show’s more violent moments and collects footage of the show’s main characters from their more fun moments. The cast for this sitcom intro includes several fan favorites: Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Antony Starr as Homelander, and Erin Moriarty as Starlight. Also appearing as supporting characters in the mock sitcom are Chace Crawford as The Deep, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, and Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir.

Of course, some favorites are also missing. Some fans may be wondering about Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, who quickly became a standout character after joining the show in Season 3. The Season 4 cast will be even better, as Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been confirmed to star in the next season in an undisclosed role.

Naturally, The boys is about as far removed as one can get from classic sitcoms. In every season of the series, the show’s creators go to great lengths to see just how far they can push the boundaries, with Season 3’s “Herogasm” immediately standing out as one of its wildest moments. Series star Erin Moriarty has teased that fans aren’t ready for what’s to come in season 4. VFX supervisor Stephen Fleet has also teased that fans will see things they wish they hadn’t seen in the new episodes.

“My eyes can’t spare what I just saw,” he wrote after working on some footage.
