The company you maintain follows Ventimiglia as Charlie, a con man in debt to a crime boss (Terrell) who sees a romance blossom with a CIA agent (Kim). While Charlie is a masterful con artist, his Achilles heel is romance, as Ventimiglia previously explained about his character.

“He’s a professional liar! Telling the truth is a huge challenge – and a consequence – for Charlie,” he said TV insider. “His blind spot has always been romance. He wants to find love and live a normal life, but he wasn’t built for it. That’s an incredible complication.”

The actor and executive producer also commented, “[Charlie] is a criminal, but he is a good villain. You keep your fingers crossed for him.’

Terrell had also subtly expressed hope that the show will continue into Season 2. While booing the Season 1 finale, Terrell had suggested that fans wouldn’t be able to wait for the show to return. That showed some optimism in getting the network’s renewal order for a second season, though it now seems those questions will go unanswered.

“Pretty much everything comes to a head,” Terrell said via Tell Tale TV. “Great truths are being revealed. It’s going to be a ride. It’s just really good. I can guarantee you that once you’ve completed the finale, nobody wants to wait months for a season 2. So I’ll just say that.”
