The Haunting of Hell Hole Mine Trailer features Tom Sizemore in one of his final roles

Let actor Tom Sizemeer posthumously stars in the new supernatural western movie Haunting Hell Hole Mine. Set for a digital release on May 18, 2023, the film was shot years ago and also stars the late Tom “Tiny” Lister Jr. and Academy Award nominee Sally Kirkland. It marks one of the last film releases for Sizemore, who passed away unexpectedly in March at the age of 63. You can get a taste of the movie by watching the new trailer below.


Haunting Hell Hole Mine is directed by Paul Collett and Tammy Massa. It was written by Collett and Robbie Trujillo. Together with Sizemore (Heat), Thrush (The fifth element) and Kirkland (JFK), the movie stars Rudy Youngblood (Apocalypto), May Myot Noe (Invincible), and David Fennoy (The Walking Dead: The Game).

A long-abandoned gold mine lurks the Shakani, a dark supernatural being summoned eons ago by the Shanowah tribe to slay their enemies. Not just ferocious and fast, but can appear as anyone and get into your head. Luke’s ancestors caught it in the mine, but they’ve all gone mad too. Now Luke’s niece Poni has come down with ‘the family curse’. But Luke believes she can be cured with proper medical treatment if only he can get the money to pay for it. So with some friends, he tries his luck at the gold mine, but gradually realizes that he must defeat the Shakani and end the family curse.

About a month before his passing, Sizemore did an interview with Age of the nerd where he discussed his long career, along with what he hoped would come next. As someone who was often on the go, he noted how he attributes his busy schedule to his love of movies as he just can’t devote enough time to a set.

“I’ve always loved movies,” says de Black Hawk down star said. “That’s why I started doing this and after all these years I still love movies… So it’s about a real passion for storytelling and my budding curiosity. I’m lucky I love it so much.”

On his future, Sizemore teased, “I believe there’s a second act coming up and I need to get into more dramatic roles and stay away from the bad guy, the military and the cops.”

In February, it was reported that Sizemore had suffered a brain aneurysm at his home in Los Angeles. He was put on life support, but it was later determined that the actor’s condition was beyond any hope of recovery. He was taken from life and died on March 3.

Haunting Hell Hole Mine will be released on digital platforms on May 18, 2023 via Film Hub.
