Nate quits managing West Ham
Nate’s (Nick Mohammed) departure from West Ham United comes as a shock to many, including Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) when they read about it in the tabloids. His now-girlfriend Jade (Edita Budnick) checked on him when he couldn’t get out of bed, and she asked him if he was stupid for quitting his job! Looks like Nate the Great is finally finding his way back into the light.
Dani Rojas breaks Van Damme’s nose in international play
When Dani Rojas travels to play for the Mexican national team, we get to see a very intense and contrasting side of him. Of course, Mexico faces Canada, so Dani will face Van Dam. But Van Dam’s friendly competitive attitude is no match for Dani’s sudden 180, to ignore Van Dam, crush his chips and hit him in the nose with his hard-kick shot!
When Dani returned to the Richmond locker room, he was back to his blissful “football is life” self, asking Van Dam about his broken nose and questioning the goalkeeper if there was a whole personality change. has come.
Rebecca talks to Rupert and other club owners to turn down Akufo’s proposed Super League
After her ex-husband Rupert (Anthony Head) invites Rebecca to a meeting to pitch the club owners to create an exclusive super league for Edwin Akufo, she listens to him. But then he fired back with a humbling story about Rupert, who as a little boy used to sneak into the dog track because his parents couldn’t afford game tickets. She makes the men realize they don’t need more money, reminding them why they fell in love with the more accessible Premier League in the first place.
Rupert tries to kiss Rebecca
She immediately retorts for the record. It must be the feelings of remembering her past and knowing her well, along with Nigerian food thrown at both of them. But there’s no chance for Rupert now, and it’s finally up to him!
Edwin Akufo paid $20 million to keep Sam from the Nigerian national team
This isn’t too surprising. Akufo came into Sam’s Nigerian restaurant, Ola, laughed in his face and told him about his plans to open a Nigerian restaurant down the street. He also bragged about bribing the Nigerian national team so that they would not recruit Sam to play for them. To raise awareness of the omission, Jamie wears Sam’s number while representing England. What a nice touch!
Nate’s heart to heart with his father
In his euphoria after leaving West Ham, Nate goes to his parents’ house to sleep over. His mother loved him dearly, but his father could not understand what had happened to him. In an emotional scene, Nate pulls out his childhood violin and plays a beautiful solo. Nate’s father silently watched him until Nate noticed and flinched. He told his father how the pressure from his side scared him of growing up, and that all he wanted to do was play the violin, not be proficient at it.
Nate’s father apologizes and admits to putting pressure on Nate to perform. In a show about father-son bonds, this scene rivaled the scene where Roy hugged Jamie after Roy’s drunken father was confronted in the locker room in Season 2.
Nate apologizes to Will
Nate asks hippie bus driver Kenneth to sneak into the kit room so he can do Will’s job. When Will arrived at the locker room, he was surprised to find everything nice and clean. and Nate leaves a card with lavender taped to the front that says “I’m sorry. -Wonderful Boy”.
roy and keley get back together
Roy writes a very sweet apology to Keeley, and viewers see him work on it while the team watches the international drama. He tried to discreetly drop it off at Keeley’s apartment, but after she left for work, he found her delivering it. He opened it in front of her and read it to her as her writing is illegible.
In the letter, he apologized for always making her feel like she wasn’t Keeley ‘F-G’ Jones. He has also written ‘I love you’ at the end of the note.
Funding Stalls For Keely’s Company, But Rebecca Saves It
This may not come as a total shocker considering Jack’s sudden disappearance last episode, and hints that he and Keeley were on the outs. But Keely learns sad news from CFO Barbara after Jac (JODI BALFOUR) tells Barbara that she will tell Keeley herself. She was killing it at KJPR as well. What a shame.
At least until he finally told Rebecca what happened and offered to replace the funding. in cash, Keely refuses at first, but Rebecca says it’s her money, her choice. She then sees Roy wearing a pink bathrobe, just as Keely was congratulating her on not getting back into things with Rupert. The icing on the cake is when Barbara offers to stay on as CFO for the company with the new funding, choosing Kelly over her old employers.
