‘The Summer I Got Pretty’ star Minnie Mills stars in ‘Dump Him!’

EXCLUSIVE: Minnie Mills, star of the Amazon YA series The summer I got prettymoves to the audio world.

Mills stars Break up with him!an audio rom-com series by Meet Cute.

She plays Ruby, who is an averagely jaded sophomore by day, but by night is “Venus,” anonymous campus radio’s relationship expert who counsels lovesick students. That evening, when Ruby’s boss tells her he’s replacing her with an a cappella lesson because Venus “has no control,” Ruby tells the caller to drop her boyfriend.

Made an impact: The next morning, campus queen Bee Paige left high school friend and a cappella colleague Parker. Parker, deranged with grief, decides to track down Venus and uncover her true identity, and he knows exactly where to turn for help: resident nerd and big nobody, Ruby. She’s that investigative journalism-majored geek, right? Ruby agrees to help – what better way to steer Parker off the trail of Venus…or does Ruby nurture something more for the heartthrob on campus?

The series, described as Sleepless in Seattle meets To all the boys I’ve loved starts on February 7th.

The cast also includes John Karna (Scream), Eilise Guilfoyle (Cora and Sam hate the dentist), musician Jen Goma, Tommy Kang (divorce) and Becca Kauffman (Mona).

It was written by Juli Del Prete and directed and produced by Julia Thompson. Lucie Ledbetter is Director of Creative Production and Amarlie Foster is Director of Development. The original music is composed, edited and mixed by Teeny Lieberson.

Meet Cute was founded by former investment banker Naomi Shah. Shah founded the company on Valentine’s Day 2020, raising millions of dollars from companies including Union Square Ventures and Shari Redstone’s investment firm Advancit Capital. It has produced over 450 romantic comedies as original 15-minute scripted audio episodes and has a global network of over 1,000 creators including Pretty little liars Author Sara Shepard, who created the cruise ship, dance with the stars Julianne Hough and pop star Ellie Goulding.

It also recently inked a partnership deal with Range Media Partners, as well as a deal with dickinson Manufacturer wip.
