“The White Lotus” breakout stars and real-life best friends Beatrice Grano (Mia) and Simona Tabasco (Lucia) are back in action after being tapped by Kim Kardashian as Skims models for her upcoming Valentine’s Day collection.
“I saw The White Lotus and I had to keep my girls!” Kardashian wrote instagram announced its Valentine’s Day shop on Monday, which launches on Thursday. “It’s back and sexier than ever, starring breakout stars and real-life best friends @SimonaTabasco And @BeaGranno TOGETHER FOR SKIMS.
Fans of “The White Lotus” fell in love with the careful nature and relentless scheming of Grano and Tabasco — a dynamic duo Grano says “couldn’t even exist in real life.”
“They are two magical fairies or witches who have been put there to break the balance of old relationships,” Grano told TheWrap following the Season 2 finale of the HBO series. “They remind me of the two marbles thrown at the hotel – they tear everything apart, but in doing so, they remove all the problems… That mess was needed to fix everything. “
Although most White Lotus guests suffered a somewhat disappointing – if not dangerous – ending, Mia and Lucia left the resort with a particularly sunny ending.
“After that, Mia and Lucia, they know they have this power,” Grano said. “Maybe they’ll go somewhere else and fix up someone else’s life – or maybe they’ll just enjoy themselves. I can see Lucia becoming a fashion icon and Mia becoming a very famous singer.”
While Grano and Tabasco had worked together before, Tabasco told W Magazine The friendship of the actresses “blossomed” on the set.
“We’ve worked well together before, but especially on this project,” Tabasco said. “I also think that Mike didn’t know we were friends when we did our audition, but he may have seen a spark between us or felt something that we brought to the set.”
