Tim Burton’s ‘Wednesday’ Netflix series gets November premiere date

“Wednesdays,” the Netflix series about a teen Wednesday Adams, finally has a premiere date. The series will drop on November 23, Netflix announced Friday.

“Wednesday” is executive produced and directed by Tim Burton, with showrunners, EPs and writers Alfred Gough and Miles Miller. It stars Jenny Ortega as the teenage member of the famous Addams family.

Here’s the logline for the series: “From the imagination of Tim Burton, ‘Wednesday’ is a cryptic, supernaturally-influenced mystery of Wednesday Adams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where he tries to master his emerging psychic potential. tries, thwarts a monstrous murder spree that has terrorized the local town, and solves the murder mystery that engulfed her parents 25 years ago – all in Nevermore with her new and while navigating very tricky relationships.”

Ortega said in a statement that Wednesday’s version of her is a teenager, and has begun to grow up.

“Wednesday is currently a teenager, and we’ve never seen her as a teenager before. When they’re coming from someone who probably should know better than a 10-year-old girl, her snarky, snarky comment isn’t necessary.” That sounds tempting.” It was a balancing act. We didn’t want to make her sound like every other teenage girl, but we also didn’t want to make her too clueless. And we’ve never seen him on screen so much. Whenever you’ve seen Wednesday, she’s been a one-liner, the end of a joke, she always hits it, and I think that’s what people really love about her. But every scene in this show is of Wednesday. There’s an opportunity to give her a little more dimension, and she becomes a little more of a real person, which I don’t think we’ve ever seen before. ,

The show stars as EP with Gough, Miller and Burton with Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman (1.21 Entertainment), Kevin Misrocchi (T & Charles Adams Foundation), Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman (Glickmania), Gail Berman, Tommy Harper and Kevin Lafferty. Are included.
