The Saw Franchise Continues As Jigsaw’s Legacy Lives On

Saw 10 may not be the only expansion to the horror franchise universe that fans can look forward to. Last year it was also reported that talks began to adjust Saw as a television series. Spiral Director Darren Lynn Bousman also told us in an exclusive interview last year that he hopes the franchise continues to evolve into a cinematic universe reminiscent of the MCU.

“I have found a renewed interest in the Saw universe,” he said. “I thought it was over and I had done everything I could. Having the opportunity to work with the likes of Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson has kind of rekindled my love for these kinds of stories and what can be done with them. I think there’s a lot more to tell and a lot more I’d like to say.”

He further teased, “You’re not done seeing Tobin Bell… Maybe you’re seeing a TV series. So I think you’re seeing the Marvelverse of the Saw franchise, where several storylines take place. And I think it will be. It will exist in the same universe and different storylines will take place.”

Time will tell on the rumored TV show, but Saw 10 will hit theaters on October 27, 2023.
