Maybe none of them compare to the Cameron-Daphne-Ethan-Harper love square story line, or the Alby-Lucia “romance,” but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. If you need a new show to stream now that “The White Lotus” has wrapped up Season 3, one of the following series might be a good fit for you.
Let’s start from above. HBO Max’s “The Sex Lives of College Girls” is the most watched series among “White Lotus” fans. This is understandable for a few reasons. There’s the obvious connection — “Sex Lives” returned for its second season on HBO Max, making it easy for “White Lotus” fans to stumble upon. And the show created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble also has elements of comedy, drama and sex — just like “The White Lotus.” It’s not hard to see why there’s a lot of overlap in the Venn diagram between the two shows.
The second most-watched show among “White Lotus” fans — Hulu’s “Reboot” — leans heavily on comedy. The new series, from Keegan-Michael Key, starring Johnny Knoxville and Rachel Bloom, follows the oddball cast of the hit 2000 fictional sitcom that — you guessed it — gets rebooted in 2022.
The third most-watched series among fans of “White Lotus” returns to drama with “The Mosquito Coast” on Apple TV+. “The Mosquito Coast” stars Justin Theroux as a dissident American inventor who is forced to flee from the US government while living with his family in Latin America.
Overall, the Apple TV+ appears to be quite popular among the “White Lotus” crowd. Three of the top 10 most-watched shows by “White Lotus” fans are on the tech giant’s streaming service, with “Slow Horse” and “Mythic Quest” also making the cut.
AppleTV+’s three entrants match HBO Max, which also had “Gossip Girl” and “Avenue 5,” the sci-fi space comedy starring Hugh Laurie, ranked in the top 10.
Other top-viewed shows include the acclaimed mockumentary sitcom “Abbott Elementary” on ABC; “Atlanta” on FX; and “The Good Fight” on Paramount+, whose sixth and final season debuted in September.
For fans who are already experiencing withdrawal on a “White Lotus-less” Sunday, you can read everything we know about Season 3 so far. Then maybe the producers will throw out one or two of these shows to pass the time until Mike White and company are ready to return.
