It is good against evil in the school for good and evil

Primarily, the film follows the friendship between Agatha (Sofia Wylie) and Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso). The problem is that the two go to a special school that trains heroes and villains for fairy tales to keep the balance between good and evil. Agatha leans to one side while Sophie falls to the other, causing a rift in the friendship.

“Their dynamics feel so real and I think so many young girls will relate to their individual stories and how they connect, struggle and eventually grow to appreciate the depth and love of what it means to be a friend,” said Caruso about their friendship, via TUDUM.

Wylie added, “Both girls have strengths that complement each other. If one of the characters falters, the other is there to pick them up. And yes, although they may fight and argue, they will eventually love each other!”

The school for good and evil premieres for worldwide streaming on Netflix on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. The official synopsis is as follows.

In the village of Gavaldon, two misfits and best friends, Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), share the most unlikely bond. Sophie, a golden-haired seamstress, dreams of escaping her bleak life to become a princess, while Agatha, with her stark aesthetic and unusual mother, has the makings of a real witch. One night under a blood-red moon, a powerful force drags them to the School for Good and Evil – where the true stories behind every great fairy tale begin. Yet something is wrong from the start: Sophie is dropped into the School for Evil, run by the glamorous and sour-tongued Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron), and Agatha into the School for Good, overseen by the sunny and friendly Professor Dovey (Kerry Washington). As if navigating lessons with the descendants of the Wicked Witch (Freya Parks), Captain Hook (Earl Cave) and King Arthur (Jamie Flatters) wasn’t hard enough, according to the schoolmaster (Laurence Fishburne), only the kiss of the true love change the rules and send the girls to their rightful schools and destination. But when a dark and dangerous figure (Kit Young) with mysterious ties to Sophie resurfaces and threatens to completely destroy the school and the world beyond, the only way to a happy ending is to survive their real fairy tale first.
