Veteran actor Arun Bali, who reportedly suffered from the neuromuscular problem, Myasthenia Gravis, died on Oct. 7 in Mumbai. The actor was 79.

Earlier in January 2022, according to a report in a publication, Nupur Alankar, a CINTAA member who has known him for years, spoke to Arun Bali on a phone call when she noticed something was wrong in his speech. She also mentioned when she felt something was seriously wrong with his speech and pointed it out to him. Later, she tried to contact his son Ankush, but couldn’t get through. She also tried to call Rajeev Menon, Ankush’s colleague, got his other number and advised him to take Arun to the hospital immediately. Arun Bali’s daughter later informed Nupur that her father had been diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a rare autoimmune disease caused by a communication breakdown between nerves and muscles.
Arun Bali was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddhathe Hindi adaptation of Forest Gump. The film starred Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, was released on August 11, 2022. The actor’s last project would be: Byewhere he will be seen as Neena Gupta’s father.
Arun Bali was known for his roles in 3 idiots, horsepower, Kedarnathiand panipat among other movies. The actor has appeared in several TV shows, including his 1989 debut project Doosra Kewal, Chanakya, Swabhimaan and Kumkum Pyaara Sa Bandhan.
