VH1 has seen a surge in younger viewership led by its “Love & Hip Hop” Monday, its largest major share in more than two years, in the third quarter of this year.
The “Love & Hip Hop” franchise earned the network the No. 1 spot in cable primetime on Monday with core demos of 18-34 and 18-49, Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” “Below Deck Mediterranean” and HGTV’s “love it or list it” in the same time period, according to Nielsen data.

While cable channels such as VH1 and Bravo target an advertiser-coveted demographic of viewers aged 25–54, VH1’s Monday programming has replaced the network in the major demos commonly used for broadcast channels aged 18–49. has been successfully launched.
The Atlanta and Miami versions of “Love & Hip Hop” won first and second place in Monday programming in terms of total viewership in the 18–34 range during the third quarter, with “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” receiving an average of 190,000 viewers . The demo and “Love & Hip Hop Miami” demo averaged 147,000 viewers.
Monday’s programming “Love & Hip Hop” lagged behind both shows in the same time period, with “Below Deck Mediterranean” garnering an average of 132,000 viewers in 18–34 demos. HGTV’s “Love It Or List It” placed fourth on the demo with an average audience of 59,000, and “Watch What Happens Live” on the demo finished last with an average audience of 54,000.
1 spot as the most social cable reality network, while “Love & Hip Hop” aired on Monday nights, with 989,000 social media interactions during the franchise’s airing.
The top-grossing “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” was also the No. 4 top cable series for the quarter, while “Love & Hip Hop Miami” worked its way into the No. 8 top cable series for the quarter, also clocking 20% . Increase in terms of your share from last season.
