Vice President Kamala Harris to appear on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ for the first time since 2020

Stephen Colbert announced Thursday that on March 15 he will have Vice President Kamala Harris on “The Late Show” for an exclusive interview.

The interview will be the first time Harris will appear on the show since she was a candidate for office in 2020 alongside Joe Biden. The episode will air on CBS and also live and on demand via Paramount+.

But while this episode will be the first time on Colbert’s show before an election, it isn’t the first time she’s appeared on the Late Night Show as the vice president.

Harris’ first vice-presidential appearance on Late Night TV came on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in October. Prior to that, he made his in-studio talk show debut as VP on “The View” in 2021.

He has also given interviews on several other talk shows, including his Comedy Central show Charlemagne Tha God, where things got a little testy when he questioned whether West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin has more power over policy decisions than President Joe Biden.
