Vince Gilligan series starring Rhea Seehorn gets 2-season order on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has ordered a direct-to-series for Vince Gilligan’s next show starring streamer Rhea Seehorn, announced Thursday.

The streaming service has ordered two seasons.

Gilligan recently wrapped up executive producer duties on “Better Call Saul,” which Seehorn co-starred with Bob Odenkirk.

“After fifteen years, I thought it was time to take a break from writing antiheroes… and who’s more heroic than the brilliant Rhea Seehorn? It’s been a long time since she had her own show, and I feel lucky to be working with her.” And what a wonderful symmetry it is to be reunited with Jack van Amberg, Jamie Ehrlich and Chris Parnell! Jamie and Jack were the first two people to say yes to ‘Breaking Bad’ all these years ago. They’ve made a great team at Apple, and my wonderful, longtime partner at Sony Pictures Television and I are excited to do business with them. ,

Gilligan will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Jeff Frost and Diane Mercer also have EPs. Jane Carroll produces for High Bridge Productions.

The show airs on Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind Gilligan’s previous projects “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul”.
