‘Walker Independence’ is dead after failed attempts to find a new home – Deadline

With Matt Barr and Katherine McNamara, Walker Independence, the pilot of which was written by Seamus Fahey from a story he and Anna Fricke wrote and directed by Larry Teng, is set in the late 19th century. It was about a wealthy Bostonian named Abby Walker (McNamara) whose husband is murdered before her eyes while trekking west. Filled with a thirst for revenge, Abby meets Hoyt Rawlins (Barr), who the story describes as a “lovable villain in search of meaning.” The two soon find themselves in Independence, Texas, where they encounter a diverse and eclectic cohort of citizens who hide from their demons and chase their dreams while becoming agents of small-town change themselves.

Fahey, Teng and Padalecki co-produced with Fricke and Laura Terry via their Pursued By a Bear banner along with Rideback’s Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore. CBS Studios is the studio behind both walkerwhich has been renewed for a fourth season, and Walker Independence.
