Waluscha De Sousa will be part of the Revenge series, an Indian adaptation of the international concept of the same title. The series is produced by Taher Shabbir and Ashutosh Shah’s banner Rat Films.
Waluscha De Sousa talks about working with Ruchi Narain in the Indian adaptation of Revenge; says: “She managed to get a solid performance out of Kiara Advani and I hope she goes to the limit with me too”
Speaking of the adaptation, Waluscha said: “I am thrilled to be a part of this Indian adaptation. The successful show aired a while ago and I was a huge fan, I remember binge-watching it. “I was approached to be part of the remake, I was really excited. I remember the original story like it was yesterday. I hope Indian audiences love this adaptation too, because it has a fantastically gripping plot.”
Revenge is directed by Guilty fame Ruchi Narain. Talking about working with a female director, Waluscha has nothing but praise for her: “This is my first time being directed by a female director and it’s a great, strong feeling. Ruchi is such a nice person to work with. Needless to say, a super director whose outing with Guilty was applauded by everyone! She managed to get a solid performance out of Kiara and I hope she pushes herself with me as well. I have a lot of confidence in her as a director.”
Waluscha, who was last seen in Escapye Live, is happy that she will play different roles. And she’s also looking forward to her role in Revenge, the details of which she can’t reveal yet. “All I can say is that I’m going to be playing a role again that is very different from my other shows – Crackdown S1 and S2, Escaype Live, Tanaav, the Indian adaptation of Fauda etc. As an actor it’s so satisfying to see so many different characters to portray and not be limited to stereotypes, I can’t wait to see this come together and bring it to the public,” she concluded.
