Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, announced this week that former President Donald Trump would be reinstated on both platforms following a two-year suspension following his impeachment.

“The Daily Show” guest host Wanda Sykes isn’t surprised at all, saying it’s just a money-grabbing stunt.

In its announcement on Wednesday, Meta said that “the public needs to be able to hear what their politicians are saying – the good, the bad and the ugly – so that they can make informed choices at the ballot box.” And at that, Wanda Sykes said “Phew!”

“Look, we all know Facebook is losing a lot of money and they want Trump’s attention back,” Sykes joked. “He needs a hit! Trump is his ‘White Lotus’.

She said Trump is “the Internet’s Jennifer Coolidge”, breaking her impression of the award-winning actress. That said, Sykes thinks Trump’s accounts need some deep revamping. But he also had an idea.

“I think maybe for the first week, they should only allow her to post pictures of the cat. You know, let’s see how it goes,” joked Sykes. “If you see a bunch of cats on the Capitol? Although adorable, stop it.
