Warner Bros. Discovery executive Mark Graboff to exit

Mark Graboff is stepping down from his position as President of Global Business, Legal Affairs and Content Supply Chain at Warner Bros.

The executive had spent nearly eight years at the company and its predecessor, Discovery Inc.

“My decision to leave was not an easy one and I struggled with it for months,” Graboff wrote in a memo sent Tuesday to employees. “But, with the ongoing transformation of my contract and our newly merged company until next spring, the timing made sense.”

During his tenure at WBD, Graboff directed business cases and production management strategies for the company. He oversaw matters relating to the acquisition, development and production of programming for all of Discovery’s global networks and digital platforms.

Graboff is a 30-year veteran of the entertainment industry who previously owned Core Media Group, Inc. where he managed all strategic and day-to-day operations for the global music management and production company.

Prior to that role, he spent 12 years in television distribution and business affairs with NBCUniversal in leadership roles. He has also held top roles at CBS and several law firms, and was a founding partner at Silverberg, Katz, Thompson & Braun.

Why HBO Max Can Trim Its Movie Catalog Without Losing Its Competitive Edge Chart

all,

With mixed feelings I share my decision to step down as President of Global Trade and Legal Affairs and Materials Supply Chain, effective later this year.

Between now and then I will work on the transition with Kathleen’s senior US network team. Our shared goal is to ensure the most efficient and effective structure for the organization to move forward. To this end, Kathleen will share some additional organizational announcements shortly.

My decision to leave was not an easy one and I have been battling it for months. But, with the ongoing transformation of my contract and our newly merged company until next spring, the timing made sense.

It has been my greatest honor to be a part of this organization and to work with some of the most talented executives in our industry. The global business and legal affairs team as well as my colleagues in our global production management organization are best in class and I have no doubt that you will continue to excel for years to come.

Between now and December 31st, I hope to be able to talk to as many of you as possible and personally thank you for making these past 8 years the most rewarding in my professional life. Thanks.

Best wishes,
