I am happy to be a part of this movie. It was my first time wearing a police uniform and it had some power that overloaded me with all the energy that was needed. It is a pakka mass entertainer and people would definitely enjoy watching it. Linguswamy directed the film in the best possible way and it was very satisfying to work with him. Boyapati Srinu director: Mass hero & mass director. What do you have to say about this collaboration?

I am super excited about this one. I’ve never seen a director do so much research on an actor he’s going to direct. He scans you from top to bottom and tells you things you don’t know about yourself. He is so nice to work with and I am super happy. I have seen him work very hard for our project and he has a lot in store for us. Pre-production work is underway and we will be working together soon.

16 years since Tollywood debut. Is it satisfactory?

16 already?! Wow! I also worked as a child artist. But as a hero, Devadas was the first. Yes, it has certainly been satisfying as an actor. Also as a person..I have been very happy. Have lots of memories to look through the memory lane. Thanks to the directors who gave some blockbuster hits and great films to remember.

After COVID, audience expectations about cinema have changed. Do you think it’s time for the trend to change?

Yes. With the help of OTTs, cinema has become easily accessible to the public. People expect new stories and something that can entertain them in the theaters like a paisa vasool movie. Also, people have started analyzing whether a movie is really worth going to the cinema or whether they can wait for it to come on OTT. So it is important for us actors, directors and producers to deliver the best content for the audience.

Do you compare or compete with your contemporaries?

No no no ! Not me. I do watch all their movies, maintain a good relationship with them, but I never compare with anyone. I don’t think there is competition either. Everyone has their own image and market.

Any chance of Bollywood debut?

Not at all. I have no ideas to debut in Bollywood from now on. We work on pan-Indian films and that in itself is more than enough for me.
