Other attendees included First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, and you’ll be able to watch it live on C-SPAN and in the livestream embed below. Coverage is also planned for CNN and MSNBC, so you can tune in to those channels as well.

Live C-SPAN coverage online and on the C-SPAN app begins at 6 p.m. ET with the arrival of guests.

As far as the tone of the program goes, Roy Wood Jr. told TheWrap that he takes the media’s contributions seriously.

“For me, it’s more important than the joke, to take the opportunity to recognize the contribution of the media,” he said in an interview. “So I think in that regard, it’s a real honor. You don’t want to be the person who spoils it. You know, these are the people who decide what’s news and what’s not. It’s easy. No, and I have nothing but high praise for journalists.

That said, Wood Jr. told TheWrap that none of the jokes or topics are “off limits,” summarizing his approach thusly: “I really see this whole thing as some kind of big roast.” I don’t think so. I think this is an accountability session.
