2023 has arrived, and Netflix has several new additions on the streaming service in January to kick off the new year. New Year’s Day marks the launch of the new original limited series “Kaleidoscope”, in which episodes are presented to subscribers in random order until the big finale. The show chronicles the events before, during, and after the major heist, with Giancarlo Esposito leading the cast, and is designed to be viewed (and enjoyed) in any order.
Another high-profile Netflix Original in January is “You People,” a new comedy co-written by Jonah Hill and Kenya Barris, in which Hill stars alongside Eddie Murphy in a premise based on “Guess Who’s Coming.” to dinner”. the approval of his beloved’s father so that he can marry her. Barris has directed the comedy film, which will release on January 27.
There’s also a new series from filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn called “Copenhagen Cowboys” (coming January 5), a second season of “Ginny & Georgia” (also coming January 5) and “That ’90s Show.” Series premiere (January 19).
And in terms of library titles, notable new additions on January 1 include Martin Scorsese’s “The Aviator”, “Brokeback Mountain”, “Jerry Maguire”, “Minority Report”, the “Rocky” franchise, the original “Top Gun” . and “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.”
