Whoopi Goldberg advocates abortion rights with ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Halloween costume (VIDEO)

“The View” host Whoopi Goldberg sent a very strong message Monday, using her Halloween costume for the show to advocate for abortion rights.

The theme of this year’s holiday episode was “Iconic TV Characters,” with each host dressed up as a character they’ve loved for decades. Sunny Hostin dressed as Queen from “Bridgeton”, Alyssa Farah Griffin as Carrie Bradshaw from “Sex and the City”, host Joy Behar appeared as Peggy Bundy from “Married with Children”, Anna Navarro dressed as Charo from “The Love Boat” and Sarah Haines from “Shit’s Creek” arrived as Catherine O’Hara’s character Moira Rose.

To round out the group, Goldberg dressed as June Osborne from “The Handmaid’s Tale”. Behind her red cloak were several idioms: “My body, my morals, my life, my choices.”

You can see his entrance in the video above.

Although Goldberg didn’t go into detail about her dress choices like her fellow co-hosts at the start of the show, she has long been vocal about a woman’s right to do what’s best for her and her body. Is.

Earlier this month, Goldberg came under fire from conservative host Dana Loesch for saying that “Skanks” get aborted amid the scandal surrounding Herschel Walker.

“First of all, ma’am, there are a lot of women who find themselves in a position to have abortions. How dare you call them crooks,” Golberg said. “And I believe the whole point is that Walker is saying, ‘I believe it is murder, I believe -‘ and has paid, supposedly, for the abortion of the women. that’s the point. If we’re about to have these discussions, please stick to them, and don’t stop naming people. ,

Earlier this summer, the host said that if travel restrictions start to go into effect, women will give up their real reasons to travel out of fear.

“Again, I always thought conservatives and Republicans always thought, you know, we have to do this but we don’t want you in our business. So, well, get out of my uterus,” she said. “Take me to my doctor because you don’t know what’s going on with my body. You don’t know. And so you don’t know who will get an abortion, because we’re not telling you!”
