WWE Friday Night SmackDown wins the demo for Fox

NBC wins total viewership with a new episode of “Dateline”

NBC’s “Dateline” competed with Fox’s WWE “Friday Night SmackDown” for the Friday Night Ratings Championship belt. While Fox, unsurprisingly, scored in the dominant 18-49 demographic, it was NBC that took home the top average total viewership with 2.5 million.

The latest WWE matchup fought its way to a 0.5 demo rating and 2.2 million total viewers, the second largest viewership for the brand since July of this year. It comes on the heels of last week, when “SmackDown” garnered its biggest total audience ever, with 2.4 million tuning in in one year.
