The Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan hit screens on Thursday 11 August. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film released alongside the Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. Despite the competition, trading forecasts were optimistic that the Akshay Kumar film would do well.
In the overseas markets, Raksha Bandhan open on average. Released on the auspicious day of Rakshabandhan, Raksha Bandhan managed to raise $470K. to bring in [Rs. 3.74 cr.] during the first three days at the foreign cash register.
Based on the current, trade estimates predict that the film will continue to grow for the first Sunday in a row. In fact, it will come as no surprise if the company of Raksha Bandhan manages to go past the Rs. 5 kr. mark by the end of the opening weekend in the overseas market.
